Let's Get Close

Let’s get close,

Close like closer than most

Like pleasantly most

Like closeness is no longer an issue of proximity or appropriateness

Like invading each other’s space will no longer make me nervous

Like the personal bubbles being popped by a lost of inhibitions

And just a need to be near you

And a need to feel you

And I need to feel you 

Bumping into shoulders just won’t do

Let’s get close like skin against heat, and skin and against skin,

And heat against heat,

And sweat against sweat well, maybe not that but

Bodies breaking invisible boundaries like

They were never meant to be bounded in the first place,

Further than intimately into one another

Like embodying the essence of each other’s being

I want to hear your thoughts just as they come to mind

Brain waves emitting from smirks and eyelids

Those twitches that can be caught by only this one receiver

Close like secret conversations that we snicker being seas apart

Too close for comfort is not a phrase that is common to me

Closeness is the closure in life that I can’t help but to seek
